Year Plan

Baby Audrey was photographed about two weeks after her arrival in September. You will be seeing this beautiful baby girl again soon, but this time, she will be 3 months old! She was such a joy to work with as a newborn and made things easy with her beautiful face. I cannot wait to see what we come up with at her 3 month session in December!

The Year Plan are scheduled sessions for a year, documenting the child as a newborn, at 3, 6, 9, and 12 months. If you’d like, that also can include their first birthday party! (Additional charges apply).

Princess, the duck fetcher

Princess is a black labrador and was trained to fetch ducks. At 7 years old, she went hunting with my dad and brother today for the first time in a couple of years. Even though, she did not miss one duck and was very attentive during their hunting session. She is a very sweet, well mannered dog, and loves to help! Here’s an image my dad took of her on the job!

Once she got home, I bathed her to get all the dirt cleaned, and to soothe her muscles. Here’s the cutie patootie all wrapped up after her bath. 🙂

A weekend at a ranch.

I spent this past weekend at a ranch in west Texas. I absolutely love the open space and all of the exotic animals I was able to see. From the little goats to the large Elk, there are about 35 species, and it is such a thrill to photograph them. Not many people will be able to see these animals up close in their lifetime. I am very lucky to have had the opportunity!
Being in the wilderness reminds me how my passion for photography began. The world in its most natural state is the true artwork of the creator. No manmade buildings blocking the view or any electric lines running through the trees and it’s all so beautiful. I wanted the people who view my work to be able to see the world in a different way and appreciate it in its pure form. Many people I know have never spent time in natural woods other than a state park, ten minutes away from a convenient store. The country where I frequent is hours away from all the conveniences of city life. Being away from the hustle and bustle helps to calm me and find even more community with my Lord. I wanted to capture this serenity and beauty in my images and share it with the world. Revisiting these type of places brings me back to the beginning; the reason I became a photographer.
