“333”

For a couple of years I’ve become aware of “333”. I became numb to these happenings until I woke up at 3:33am for a week straight. Literally, a wake up call! 😉
Recently, Jeremiah 33:3 came to my attention. “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.”
I have no idea what God is wanting me to know. Biblically, I have seen that it means completeness, a merging of your will and God’s, and that angels are with you. I’m not quite sure which one of these things is being said to me. A few years ago, in prophecy, my friend and her pastor (at different times) said that the Lord was thankful for our intimate times and conversation (a confirmation of how I felt at that time) and when I’m ready, He wanted to pour all of Himself into me…. Readying me for my full purpose? That being a few years ago really upset me because it doesn’t seem that anything really significant has happened since then. I soon realized that a few years isn’t even a moment to God, so I need to be patient and just remember that He is always with me and His angels are protecting and guiding me as well. I listen too hard and am too analytical to see things clearly sometimes.

I decided to test out my flash and receivers with my friend Angelia.

As you can see in the first image, the flash created a very ”blown out” exposure on her left shoulder.

In this second image, the exposure is a little more even, aside from her right shoulder being bright from the sun. Because the sun is coming from her right side, she should have a much darker shadow on the left side of her face. I used my flash to null the shadow and create a more even exposure across her entire face. If you look closely, you will also see a little ”glimmer” of light in her eyes; this is from the flash as well. I feel this affect makes her look even more ”alive” in the image and helps the viewer connect to her a little more.

These images were shot without a soft box, which is why the flash was very harsh in only specific areas of the frame.

Submission: random thought

Sometimes I don’t even know what I’m going to write until its already written, here’s an example:
Lord, I lift Your name up high. Lord, I love to sing Your praises! Sometimes it’s so easy to sing the songs and love a loving God but it’s so difficult to fear a wrathful God. His wrath is upon you unless you submit your life to His will and accept that Jesus took your place. Submit, submit, submit…
Submission everyday is not a constant failure to abide His teachings, it’s a constant renewal and I promise it will bring you closer to His heart.

Brody

Stay tuned TODAY for the last few images of baby Brody! He was really cooperative and calm, for the most part. It was difficult for him to go into a deep sleep so when we tried repositioning his head in ways, he resisted and resumed the fetal position. So, we opted to allow him to sleep peacefully on his tummy and back. I am in love with this little man and feel that his session went really well! 🙂

Newborn

Today, I photographed my very first newborn baby! I am so excited about these photos!! 🙂 I have never photographed a baby younger than 6 months old but it went so well. He is such a calm baby, we were able to do a lot of manipulation and positioning before he became a little upset. He was wonderful and I’m so thankful for this opportunity! Here is a sneak peek!
